The Union Landing Historical Society of Brielle is pleased and proud to present Chief Petty Officer Maffioli at our Historical Society’s event on Wednesday November 15th at 7pm. The event, open to the public and free of charge, will be hosted at Brielle’s Curtis House. The Curtis House is located at 644 Union Lane in Brielle, directly across the street from the Brielle Elementary school.
Please mark your calendars for Wednesday November 15th 2023 at 7pm and plan on meeting CPO Maffioli for a fun, interesting and informational discussion regarding the duties of our local Coast Guard station.
Chief Petty Officer Michael A. Maffioli is a respected local member of the U.S. Coast Guard. As the Assistant Engineering Petty Officer at Manasquan Inlet, Point Pleasant, NJ, he oversees the maintenance and repairs of Coast Guard facilities, small boats, and rescue equipment. He holds multiple qualifications, including Boat Crew Member, Motor Life Boat Engineer, and Boarding Officer. Station Manasquan Inlet provides the Jersey Shore with Search and Rescue and Maritime Law Enforcement services.
Chief Maffioli enlisted in the Coast Guard in December of 2010, and his twelve years of service have taken him to various locations across the country, including New Jersey, Virginia, Massachusetts, Maryland, Florida, and Guam. He has extensive experience in shipboard engineering and small boat operations, and he even commissioned the Coast Guard Cutter Frederick Hatch, a 154-foot Fast Response Cutter, and delivered it from Key West to Guam on a two-month Trans-Pacific Voyage.
